Let’s talk fabulous hair! Speaking of hair, mine has actually been growing so quickly that it became super long and unmanageable. So like any other blogger would do, I decided to try a little DIY project and cut my own hair. I mean I only took off about 3-4 inches and gave myself layers. I was afraid that it would turn into a disaster but surprisingly it looks really good and i feel so much better. I mean I just haven’t had the time to book an appointment at one of my salons so I took matters into my own hands. This is just a temporary thing until my schedule clears up a bit and I have some free time to hit up the salon.
Moving on, a few months ago I received a package from TRESemmé for their new TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume collection. At first I was a bit skeptical about the idea of reversing my hair washing routine but I decided to give it a try anyway. Now normally, I don’t use hair conditioner. I know, I know, what a sin considering I’m a beauty blogger and all but I find that my hair is very low maintenance and since I’ve never coloured it or chemically treated it, I can get away with just a really good shampoo.
So the first step is to wet your hair and apply the pre-conditioner. The pre-conditioner has a bounce-friendly formulation, with Fleximax which gives your hair volume and binds to the cuticle to leave hair smooth and polished. I love the feel of how silky soft and smooth my hair is right before I use the shampoo to wash it. The pre-conditioner I lather in and leave on for about 2-3 minutes. After that I rinse it out and proceed with the shampoo. What I love about the shampoo is that it really helps control static and flyaways and preps your hair for styling however you like. I really like that the shampoo didn’t strip the hydration and silkiness of the conditioner – which I initially thought it would.
Verdict: To be 100% honest, I was absolutely hooked by this after the first use. I always thought TRESemmé was one of those cheap drugstore brands that nobody really used. Boy was I wrong. I am almost certain that the TRESemmé conditioner and shampoo have left my hair more amazing than high-end labels like Bumble and Bumble (sorry guys). Since then, I’ve stuck with TRESemmé and the reverse wash Beauty-Full Volume collection and I don’t plan on changing it anytime soon. Overall, very impressed by the product and I highly recommend everyone to try it.
