Philosophy Clear Days Ahead Review

Philosophy Clear Days Ahead Review

Hi Guys!

So recently I was sent this amazing PR package from Philosophy.  I’ve never actually tried any skincare products from Philosophy before but I’ve always seen them in Sephora so i was pretty excited to give this a try.  This actually came in at the perfect timing because my skin was undergoing MAJOR stress effects.  It was nearing the end of the semester so deadlines were coming at me full speed, and don’t let me get into final exams #notahappycamper.  Now usually I don’t get any breakouts but every now and then I do get a blemish especially when I’m experiencing high stress levels.  I’ve been using the Clear Days Ahead set for about a month now and honestly my skin has never looked better.  Even when I’m wearing a full face of makeup, I can tell it just looks much better because you have a smooth and clear canvas to work with.

Clear Days Ahead Oil-Free Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment Cleanser
This cleanser is really good at deeply cleansing your skin and getting out all the dirt and grime from makeup that tends to usually clog your pores.  I remove all my makeup and on a clean and slightly damp face I use my Clarisonic (you can also use your hands) massage for about 30-60 seconds and then rinse thoroughly.  I use this product both morning and evenings and I don’t find it drying out my face.  It has salicylic acid which is one of the main ingredients to effectively reduce acne breakouts.  It also has a really nice and refreshing orange scent which is great in the mornings cause it wakes you up.

Clear Days ahead Overnight Repair Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment Pads
I absolutely love these pre-moistened treatment pads!  They do such a good job at gently removing any dead skin cells without having to scrub super hard.  They also help in preventing any further breakouts and help your skin breathe and become more clear.  I use this right after the cleanser and it feels very refreshing on your skin.  I find that this doesn’t dry out my face either.  The pads also contain glycolic and mandelic acids which help improve the overall appearance of any large pores you may have, reduce the amount of discolouration and any post-acne scarring.  This should be used after your skin is cleansed thoroughly.  If you have a blemish you need to get rid of, cover the area up to 1-3 times a day.

Clear Days Ahead Fast-Acting Salicylic Acid Acne Spot Treatment
That moment when you get a breakout the day before an important event….yeah we have all been through that torture before.  I didn’t really have a particular spot treatment that I found worked as well as this did.  I’ve used spot treatment masks before but the blemish is still slightly visible the next day.  This spot treatment however is god-sent. For real guys I will actually be going out to purchase this spot treatment once the one I have runs out.  It is amazing!  As soon as it is applied, the antimicrobial formula immediately begins to eliminate acne-causing bacteria, while salicylic acid penetrates pores to clear most unwanted acne blemishes.  To use this, make sure you thoroughly cleanse your skin.  I don’t use this product daily, unless I have a blemish that needs to be gone asap.  Then cover the affected area with a thin layer 1-3 times a day.  Usually I just put a generous amount on overnight and in the morning the blemish is gone.  Basically magic 🙂

Clear Days Ahead Oil-Free Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment & Moisturizer
Lastly, we have the treatment moisturizer which also reduces acne breakouts and moisturizes your face leaving it feeling silky smooth.  The formula is very lightweight and doesn’t feel heavy on your skin.  I use this during my evening and morning routine underneath makeup and it works just fine (but I skip my primer).  This moisturizer really does a good job at improving the skintone and texture, and provides really good oil control leaving you with a beautiful matte finish. It is also free of synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, GMOs, and triclosan, parabens, sulphates, and phthalates.
