It’s only been the first week in the new year and my schedule has been absolutely crazy bananas! I’ve FINALLY gotten some time to write this post and I’m very excited to share it with you all because I just absolutely this brand! Mapleblume is a Canadian premium subscription box of luxury cosmetic and skincare products containing only the highest quality ingredients that are beautifying and nourishing. Their subscription boxes are delivered either one time, or every other month. The box contains 5 full size or deluxe sample size products.
What I love about this brand is that, unlike other subscription boxes, Mapleblume includes products containing the highest-quality ingredients. Their motto is that they “believe that all beauty-enhancing products should be skin-nourishing as well and they want their clients to feel beautiful, radiant and confident with or without makeup on”.
I myself am a huge fan of subscription boxes. It’s actually how I started my blog 4 years ago. Let’s face it, in the world of beauty, there billions of products available that often times it gets overwhelming. Even today, after 4 years of immersing myself in the beauty and style world of blogging I get overwhelmed with the amount of products there are to try. I turned to subscription boxes because it is the perfect way to try products you normally wouldn’t buy on your own and in result, I’ve discovered a lot of amazing products so far.
The December Mapleblume box contained 5 products, all of which I’ve never tried before, so I was super excited to sample them. Let’s take a look at what was included in the December box:
Linné Repair Face Oil
This was my favourite product in the box but also the least favourite ONLY because I was not very fond of the scent. However I absolutely LOVED this face oil overall. I have been using it morning and night time in my skincare routine over the past two weeks and it does a really great job at keeping my face moisturized throughout the day and night. A little goes a long way so you only need 1 pump of the oil for your entire face and neck area. This repair oil also helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and scars, protect against environmental stress, encourage cellular regeneration and support collagen production. All of the ingredients in this repair face oil are 100% organic, natural, or wild-harvested which means its just that much better for your skin.
Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish
I’ve heard great things about the Trust Fund polish brand so I was super excited to finally get a chance to try it. IT was perfect timing for Christmas too because the colour included in the December Mapleblume box was a gorgeous holiday red called I Love My #Selfie. The polish is really good quality and doesn’t chip after a few days of wearing it. The polish brush is thicker and wider than the average nail polish brush which i love because it covers more of the nail in one swipe. The brand is also Vegan and Cruelty-free making it safer for your nails without the harsh chemicals included in other polishes.
Herbivore Botanicals Pink Clay Exfoliating Mask.
This herbivore pink clay mask smells amazing. It is definitely being added to my favourites list. Usually I am not a powder mask fan because I find they just get too messy and sometimes the consistency isn’t how it should be but this mask has made me reconsider my dislike for them. The clay mask is very gentle and because there are no chemical fillers in the mask, it is safe to use for all skin types. It is designed to be an exfoliating mask so that it can remove the top layer of skin to reveal the newer, fresher skin that lies just beneath. To apply this mask, mix ½–1 tbsp. with a few drops of water, until a nice paste is formed. Apply the mixture to your face and let it dry. I usually leave it on for about 30 min or until the mask is fully dry. Once washed off, my face feels much softer and looks brighter and luminous. This mask contains french pink clay, white kaolin clay, organic rosehip powder, organic rose powder, organic chamomile powder. The pink clay is excellent for cell renewal, skin rejuvenation, and improving elasticity. Rosehip is good for regenerating skin cells and repairing damaged tissue and to prevent premature aging. Chamomile Flowers are naturally soothing and anti inflammatory, chamomile flowers are gentle and effective at soothing and de-puffing inflamed skin.
Fitglow Beauty Mineral Blush
I’ve never heard of the brand Fitglow so I was excited to try this blush. The blush comes in the shade “Pure” which is a dusty rose-pink shade. The blush leaves a natural finish and long-lasting wear so it doesn’t fade throughout the day. It is easily blendable into your foundation so that it looks more natural and doesn’t alter the colour of the blush. Fitglow products are cruelty free, organic, vegan, and gluten free.
Pure Anada Petal Perfect Lipstick
Pure Anada is a brand I have not heard of either so after doing my research on them and discovering that they produce organic cosmetics I was excited to try it. This lipstick has a very creamy and smooth consistency. It is made with rich butters, plant oils, and waxes. The colour is a gorgeous shimmer plum. This lipstick contains certified organic Rosehip Seed Oil which is best used to repair dry, damaged skin and promote cell regeneration.
Hydration Day Cream with Plant Cell Stem Cell Science
Lastly, the day cream is a moisturizer that is steeped in plant stem cell science and nourishing plant emollients. I love that it comes in a travel size because it is convenient for me to throw in my makeup bag and take with me wherever I go. This moisturizer helps to improve your overall skin tone and elasticity while leaving it nourished and hydrated.
Yes, the Mapleblume subscription box is more expensive ($120) than your average beauty box but at the end of the day you do get what you pay for. All of the products in this December box are natural and/or organic so that of course increases the value of the box alone. In addition to that, you do get 5 full/deluxe size products.
